The Generals Lady offers a complete line of authentic Civil
War Era reproduction clothing specially designed for the serious living historian and
re-enactor. We focus on "The total look" and "Dressing your station."
We use only the finest silks, wools and cotton's available to create our line of historic
women's fashions.
Our site is also designed to be an educational guide on how to dress authentically, the
use of proper deportment along with helpful hints on how to address issues such as
properly wearing underpinnings and creating period hairstyles. Original text, images and
documents from the period will help you complete the physical persona you are portraying.
We do not consider ourselves a sutlery. We do not sell our merchandise at events but do
offer on line purchasing of the following items.

Books printed from 1858 to 1865.
